TRADING
We trade with international blenders as well as operate as a Buying Commission Agent.
TEA TASTING
We select teas based on liquor colour and strength and the leaf quality. They are then tasted in batches before the buying begins.
SOURCING
Depending on the client’s requirement, teas are sourced either directly from the tea plantations or from the Tea Board of India’s tea auction in Kolkata, India.
BUYING
Leaf, Dust, and Assam Orthodox teas are bought through e-auctions online.
BLENDING
Tea is not a standardized product, leading to vast variation in both leaf and liquor quality. We dedicate a product development team to create special blends.

BLENDING AND PACKING
Purba Tea has outsourced blending and packing to a HACCP facility. All shipments and blends are third party certified.
