After tea tasting and critical analysis, we put a commercial value to the different lots of the teas sourced by us.
A pre-auction market sample comprising graded lots is sent to our buyers for their approval.
The buyers evaluate the samples and are required to send back precise instructions regarding their preference (for example, whether they want the tea in its original form or blended).
On confirmation of their order, the tea is usually procured in 40 feet container loads.
Once we procure the tea, the buyer is sent fresh-drawn samples for shipment approval.
The entire process of pickup, warehousing, marking of tea, and getting approvals takes about two weeks
The container is ready to be shipped within 28 days of the signed contract, unless otherwise stated.
Tea is palletized and shipped in container loads (400 large paper sacks or 800 small paper sacks per 40 ft. box), either in its original form or blended, as stipulated by the buyer.
Once the box is on board, the Bill of Lading is sent to the bank complete with all the pertinent documents. The Weight List, Invoices, SGS Inspection Report, and any other item such as Darjeeling COO.
Buyers accept documents on presentation and pay seven days before the arrival of the vessel at its destination.
